A component available in three versions, extending the capabilities of the Microsoft Word application:

• wordStudio with Excel - data sources are disk files in Excel format

• wordStudio with SQL - extends the previous version with additional data sources - SQL queries directed to databases based on OLEDB providers

• wordStudio full version - additionally allows the use of objects from the BI Studio analytical platform, located in a centralized object repository, based on a network/service model. The component does not require storing source files on the user's side.

The add-on allows for automation of work by creating repetitive publications that can utilize various data sources. Additionally, the user can isolate sections in the document that will depend on external sources, updated on demand. The extension enables updating specific fields such as text fragments, table fragments, entire tables, charts, etc. without changing the document format. The toolbar is divided into four categories:

• Links - adding and managing queries, generating reports.

• Tabs - filtering, inserting query results in the form of charts/cells with results/tables, editing tabs, operating on a certain query area.

• Settings - allows setting connection parameters to the repository containing queries and reconnecting to the service in case of connection problems.

• Additional - used during report creation for importing/exporting tabs and deleting them.

Creating reports with wordStudio becomes more dynamic, intuitive, and streamlined. The generated publications can utilize multiple data sources, be automated, edited, and updated in line with Microsoft Word functionality. The application significantly simplifies and accelerates reporting tasks.
